Having its EASA Type Certificate since spring 2020 is our AQUILA with a ROTAX 914 Turbo engine. A great advantage is the steady, high climbing rate, which can be reached that way. That the takeoff weight can be increased up to 800 kg is a nice side effect. We already made several tests with an AQUILA in the Alps and we were more than satisfied.
In our A212GX Turbo the Touchscreen GARMIN G500 TXi is used. Additionally, the Engine Monitoring System MVP-50P including Annunciator Panel shows you everything going on at the engine.

Autopilot Option is now available for A211 and A212
Many AQUILA-Pilots have waited quite a while for what became reality in May 2021: AQUILA A211 and A212 are now available with an optional autopilot. Thus, not only for us but also for many satisfied AQUILA-Pilots this means that a long-term dream came true.
After a long and intensive flight test campaign with parallel certification process, during which we tested all features of the GFC500 Autopilot system and adapted it to our AQUILAs, we finally received the design approval in May 2021. That means that we can now offer our variants A211G, A211GX and A212GX with an optional Autopilot.
By equipping your AQUILA with an Autopilot, the flight in our A211 and A212 becomes even more comfortable. So please look forward to relaxed hours in the cockpit and dare to take a look at the landscape beneath you. Especially in our fast A212GX the autopilot makes flying even more efficient and thanks to the high cruising speed you will reach your destination even more relaxed and quick. What about booking a demo-flight right away?

First AQUILA A212GX Turbo Built in Series
Despite all Corona-related restrictions and limitations, production never came to a halt at AQUILA Aviation International GmbH. That time was primarily used to pursue the project “AQUILA A212GX Turbo”, which was ultimately concluded with success.
The highest obstacle was already overcome in early March, when we received the type certification. Since May, we are also allowed to manufacture our new Turbo in series. This means that the long wait is over – both for us and our customers.
Of course, we immediately changed our production and we are currently working on the completion of our first A212GX in series. All pre-ordered Turbos are to be delivered to begin with. In the following, our production of A211 and A212 will follow the order situation.
